Sprucefields new masterplan
After years of battling, Sprucefields finally going to be fully developed.
Sprucefield Retail park is probably the Norths best located retail destination. 10 minutes from Belfast, on the outskirts of Lisburn it has direct access onto the M1.
Sprucefield consists of a 47-acre site comprises a five-unit retail park providing 231,000 sq of retail space, a 1,200-space free car park and 18 acres of development land. The retail park is anchored by Sainsbury's and B&Q and most recently secured the letting of the former Toys r us unit to The Range.
Long been the intended destination of John Lewis Northern Irish Store, but with ill fated attempts at securing planning,it seems Sprucefields newest application will be approved without any John Lewis.
The newest application is split into two, with Lidl supermarket taking a prominent 27,000sqft site in front of the retail park, with another 100,000sqft or retail warehousing aswell as a hotel and 3 restaurant units, Tim Hortons, Starbucks and Nandos.
This will finally complete the Spruce field development, creating a first class retail destination.
